Hot Hardware: A New, Local Signature Line
The Tom Kundig Collection, a steel accessories line designed by the Seattle architect, is now available online.
The first of several planned product lines by Seattle's own Olson Kundig Architects, the Kundig signature line features 25 unique steel products, ranging from cabinet and door pulls to rollers and tables. For pricing and specifications, visit the line's local fabricator 12th Avenue Iron.
For even more cool hardware looks, visit Olson Kundig's storefront Hardware Store (Pioneer Square, 159 S Jackson St., Suite 600; 206.624.5670), 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Mon.-Fri, through May 18. On display is the firm's homage to hardware and hardware stores, complete with hinges, doorbells, D.I.Y. inventions and tools, that includes installations highlighting the career of Seattle's engineering impresario Phil Turner and a “How to Design a Hardware Line” exhibit featuring Kundig’s experience on developing his hardware line.
